Easy question guys (in two parts)...........
What's the right spark plug for a genuine 2,7RS?
What's the right plug for '72 911E?
Not sure if I've got the right plugs in the 2.7 replica engine

Just to throw in another question in the same vein...
What are the correct plugs for a '67 2 litre S?
I've currently got W4CC fitted.

All 3 engines (2.7RS/2.4 911E/2.0 911S) use the same plugs:
Bosch W265 P21
Carrera RS & 2.4 911E can use Bosch W260 T2 as an alternative
2.0 91S can use Bosch W265 T2SP as an alternative
or equivalents from other manufacturers.

Thanks Andy.
Can you see any reason why I shouldn't use these in my engine as at some point it has been rebuilt with 2.2E pistons & cams?

I am just in the process of servicing the car - very relaxing in the evenings after a hard day at work....
Plugs. Currently, they are W3DPO Bosch and are "OK" to go back in after cleaning up however, I would like to change them out as part of the service.
The last run the car had was up a good mountain road then a few miles back through traffic and they were pretty black when I took them out.
Checking through the forum, it seems the originals were W265 P21 so, I asked about and called the Green Spark Plug Co. to see what they had in stock. He thought they were pretty much a race plug and something like a W225 might be a better option for non-track work.
Any more thoughts on this?? According to Bob's RR tune up, it is running a little rich but seems happiest that way and makes 225hp so is running well. I'll have a chat with Bob as well just to see what he thinks, then again, perhaps I'll just get another set of the W3DPOs and be done with it however, if there's something more suited out there, I'd be willing to give it a go....
Thanks
Paul

Paul, see this thread

I've had the plugs Bob recommended ( NGK b8egv) in my car for a year now & I'm very pleased with them

Hi James,
I think I'm leaning that way to be honest - they do seem to be pretty wide-spread through the forums....
Off shopping at the weekend then - normally something for the Mrs to do but I guess it's good to show we can multi-task.
