Interior mirror re-silvering

Post by Ian Gunney »

Anyone have any idea where I can get an interior mirror glass re-silvered?

I've tried a few local companies but no-one seems interested. Any suggestions??

cheers

Hi Ian,

You could try this person - he resilvers headlamp reflectors so might be able to help?

Or just have a piece if mirrored glass cut to replace it. There’s bound to be a local company who does it.

I had this problem and never found a solution. Because mine is LHD I bought a clip on mirror which is slightly bigger but gives me much better visibility and is easily removed. Like you my local glaziers were not interested, so if you find a solution please update the thread.

I’ve had all sorts of interior mirrors cut by Roman Glass in Stroud and the edges ground.

In my experience they look crap with new glass as they are inserted under the plastic lip during production.
