anyone replaced internal bushings in a Bilstein strut

I've got some knocking going on in my front suspension .. can't quite work out where its coming from as all appears to be ok. My suspicions are it could be the internal bush within the strut body ( bilstein struts ). Has anyone replaced this bush before & are they actually available ?
I suppose also it could be the insert itself that is knocking ?
