Just curious really. How many of us currently own a 964?

Stick up a picture of yours and any details if you wish.

Man, that car looks great Jon. Has that morfed out of the red car you had at CLM a few years back?

Yes, I've noted the couple of pictures you've posted recently of that car & wondered if it was yours.

That green really suits the 964 shape.

I have been looking at similar spec cars - but in LHD - unfortunately the majority seem to be in fairly boring colours ...

No a different car Mike, I sold the red one a few years back to fund the fit out of the new workshop. Knew I would regret it but it was the only asset I had that I could sell quickly. Told myself I would buy another once the new workshop was up to speed. So here it is.

Most of the work was already done by previous owners but the 6 speed conversion, the seats and other interior work has been done since I bought it.

Throttle body conversion next on the list.

cant be just the 3 of us

Jon, the 6 speed box, assume stock box from a 993 ? Is it from an ealier 993 or from a vario ( being that they had different ratios ) . How much difference does it make ? The one thing I miss about my old 993 non vario is the powertrain combo. Are you now getting close to 300 bhp with the engine ?

My new 964 ImageImage

The car seems immaculate - it lived on the Isle of Man for a few years and was in storage for quite a few more and so has only done 38k miles. It will hopefully be getting a bit more use now!

As mentioned on the other thread I’m thinking of lowering the ride height very slightly and still deciding about whether to change the wheels,

Oh, hai.

Bits to fit this month include: Brombacher front splitter, gold hoop badges, chrome headlamp rings and some as yet unpurchased.

Oh, and I've bought a wanky private plate.

1990 C4, New Bilstein B6's & H&R lowering springs, Carnewal Red bushing, H&R Anti Roll bars front and rear and set up by Chris at Centre Gravity which made a great difference, engine rebuild around 10 years ago. One of my favorites to drive.

James,

I have the closer ration version the G50/21 this was used on Euro cars (except switzerland) until the '97 MY when all cars got the US / Swiss G50/20 with taller ratios.

I fitted a Quaife LSD also.

It makes quite a difference, you never seem to find yourself in a gear that doesn't work, I've had a couple of cross country trips in Wales recently and 2/3/4th are great on this type of road.

Getting very hard to find a donor gearbox these days though.
