I frequent this board just as much as pelican and there are a lot of user names/people names that i don't recognize. for the most part a lot interesting discussions take place here about cool mods and cool cars. it is also the season to have wrapped up winter projects. help me put cars to user ids and names and post a pic of your cars...please. oh - the more "sports purpose" the better ;).

BobTilton's post has been now made a sticky for all 911 DDK drivers to post images of their current cars. Can we have more pictures, specs and less text only posts please.

Thanks

Black Beast

Hi

Its an original 1972 RHD 911 E with all of the electric options (Doors sunroof and rear wiper) and Recaros.
Sport purpose is it has hillclimb history and has a pretty agressive suspension setup .
RS front and rear and a ducktail. RS Rollbar
It has a side Oil Filler (72) so it looks like the really early RS tourings.
7"fuchs in Front and 8 Replicas in the rear with Toyo proxes on all 4 corners .
The rear has RS type flares
The trans is a 915 with a progressive LSD which can be klunky reversing out of car parks but is great going round corners .
The 3.0 SC engine is the later ('82) with the 204HP so big smiles ""
Its got SC brakes .

Hi Bob,

I have a few things on the go but my own car is in mid resto.
Car is a 71T shell, but with SS3.2 motor, 3.2 running gear and box (with cooler) plus some other trick mods.

Hopefully get some more pics soon

Alan

That '68L of mine was going to have the works done on the body, returning it back to its original tangerine paint, then slowly peiced back together,it has very little rot,one outer sill, lower wing, and a couple of other minor bits, its got under 55,000miles on it.
I work for Roger Bray, and we have a rotater for early 911's,so I was going to get it on that,do the work then paint the whole car tangerine, inside, outside and underneath.

But(!) its been 12months in that state,I have a 10 month old son,the car is 36miles away from my house and I restore Porsche's every day!!
And I have got to the point in my life where, when I finish work I dont want to see another car until the morning!
So its gonna go,which breaks my heart, since I was a little kid I always wanted an old 911,now I have one and not the time to do it
