Clive, thanks for posting the picture. Looks great. I am delighted the extended version works. It’s also nice to see the Nardi style in a car. Works well. Enjoy

Apologies if I missed it but was the solution for the early cars sorted?

Oli,

Not yet, only just back my holidays. I have made the adjustment to clear the central tunnel and altered the fixing set up. I sent one to Mike to try in his 67 and he is telling me there is a slight adjustment required. I am hoping to see exactly what's required made the necessary changes and then will let you know. Sorry for the delay.

Oli,

Looks like the early car cup holder is sorted. I met up with Mike last week and will get these cut now I am sure they fit. My plan is to produce a run of stainless (bright or matt) and some black anodised ones.

The design will differ slightly from the std CUPL and will only have two holes on the blade (in all honesty you don't really see the design when it is on the floor).

I can't remember how many early cars were looking for these but will look back through the messages when I get a chance.

It would be great to get some feedback on what finish is preferred, easier to get these done in batches.

Careful with the brushed finish as it can leave some very sharp edges. You may have to get those ‘tumbled’ as well.

Thanks Jonny. All good, the brushed stainless is done by hand and is smooth. The aluminium ones are linished then anodised, the finish is a nice sharp feel but never rough.

I've been reading this thread over the last month or so and have been wondering what all the fuss about a cup holder is about?

Today I went out in the 911 and called in at McDonald's. Jumped back into the car to be told "you've got no bloody cup holders in this car". Yes - nowhere to put my coffee.

So - If you have one can I have a black anodised cup holder please?

Ralph.

Ralph,

Delighted to be able to assist. One question, if you place a ruler on the seat rails of your car does this extend past and clear the side of the central tunnel? SWB cars and in some other cars I have supplied the central tunnel extends past the line of the seat rail frame, this then means the hole for the cup to fit into is partly obscured. If you can check this for me I can then send the correct one.

Thanks again

Tom

Can I just confirm that this is still correct before I send the monies over? :)

The price will be set at £45 on DDK which allows for postage to anywhere in the UK, I will post further if required but need to check rates.

Pay Pal (friends/ family) is going to be the easiest, my good lady has agreed to handle the shipping so payment will be to her account:

cor3w@btinternet.com

Please clearly state in the notes: Delivery address, finish desired, model year.
