Fantastic trip, organisation, laughs, spills, repairs and much food and achohol. Privileged to be part of it. Speedster does carry a strosek rear spoiler conversion. Picked it up years ago on eBay and transferred it to a spare lid so still have original.
Car had only done 20ish miles in las5 2/3 years so it received a rude awakening on the trip!

Great to see a ‘collectors item’ actually being used hard and in all weathers.
I particularly liked the super rare Ruf easy fold roof system

Stunning pics and great fleet of cars. Looks like you had a ball. Always love a Contenental trip, it’s what these cars were built for.

Amazing trip. Amazing landscapes and great pals. Had a few cars go “tech” but as always managed to sort them out with minimal fuss. Really thought mine was knackered tho after 800km of fast Autobahn driving at the end of the first day. But just the near side header falling off. A small socket set resolved that.
The pics really don’t do it justice.

Hat off to anyone who tackles such a trip in an Early 911.
Just done a similar-ish trip in the Boxster which was easy, but in an early car, fabulous.

Looks shite.
But seriously, trips like that are like stepping into a whole different life for a bit, or a dream, where everybody is happy and the roads are smooth and people genuinely appreciate an interesting car.
And then, Hull. Bang, youre awake.
Great pics and story

Watched a lot of this on Instagram. Looked fabulous. Can’t believe Raymond did it all with the roof down.. brilliant.

The dolomites .. for me, the passes were driving heaven , tight twisty and slightly rough. The valleys were littered with speed cameras which took away a bit of fun but the hills were amazing . So our next night was based in Cortina d’Ampezzo, and the back roads surrounding here were amazing.
He headed to Cortina via some well known cycle climbs , and pretty much had empty roads all the way ... did have casualty no2 though as Peter picked up a bolt in his tyre
... luckily Richard had bought some fancy tyre plug kit and just like that, bolt removed and plugged ... a solution that held for the rest of the trip and very fast runs in the autobahn
Tyre repair
This was One of my favourite passes
... although I think we all got speed camera’d at 2500m up !!! .. if we did it won’t be a pretty fine
Cortina
