Floor pans on a Speedster Clinic build

Post by 356V »

Spotted these pans which have been fabricated for a shortened chassis. They seem like a good idea/quality item but I am a little confused over length. It’s my understanding that a Speedster Clinic build (and most others) based on the traditional VW chassis, requires 300mm chopping out. The description of these pans mentions 14+ inches (far more than 300mm). I’m probably missing something obvious here  but would these work for an SC build?! (It mentions in the advert that a bit of fettling may be required for a Porsche replica build, but I think they are going to be a fair bit too short!).

These are for a beach buggy as the advert suggests. Not for a 356 replica.

Indeed they are, but in the advert it states the pans can be shortened for Porsche replica builds - that is what I found confusing.

Surely they would need to be lengthened for Porsche replica builds...
