I think it may be partly the fact that it's usually the 2nd Wed in Dec & maybe people had kept that date free ...

I was in either day but I’ m all flight/ hotel booked- I guess they had something else on 12th?

I'm definitely coming! As Dave says, happy to transfer funds in advance if needed. Is a great event and so definitely shouldn't peter out. Anyone else we can rustle up Dave (if not I'm sure 10 will be fine)?
