Orange Pre Impact on M25

Post by richkaz »

Thought I could see my old orange pre impact 911 in my rear view mirror at 9.40 am on M25 ( Junction 8 ) heading towards Caterham / Dartford tunnel.
Looked to be sitting pretty low and sporting a white stick on number plate on the bonnet. It was either a genuine or rep RS with duck tail on an L reg ( think the first letter was C ) plate.
The orange wasn't quite as tangy as my old car but seemed to have been mixed with a tad of white to give it a softer orangery look.
Very nice indeed.
Coming back this evening nearly every 10th car was a newer Porsche ( lots of soft tops ). I passed a 17 plate 911 ( or whatever silly number they attribute them now ) on
my way home in a beautiful non metallic Kingfisher blue. Does this mean the age of boring black on black cars is finally over ?
