I've sprung a slight oil leak from the Gear Change Rod Seal over the past week. I've ordered a new seal but apparently its 'Best Parctise' to change the Sleeve at the same time.
The part number is: 915 303 24900
I can get one from the US approx 3 weeks) but wondered if anyone knew of availability in the UK?

Re: Part Number: 915 303 24900 Gear Change rod Sleeve
HI alfietom
is the gearbox still in the car??,
if it is you can change the seal BUT not the bush, as it is pressed in to the end case,
I have bushes in stock (just need to find them) that is how often I change them, is there play in the selector shaft rod that needs the bush changing?
I have never changed the bush, for the sake of changing it, only if the case has been left out and the bush has gone rusty
regards mike

Thanks Mike, the box is still in place so maybe best to just replace the seal. It’s been fine then yesterday decided to start spilling oil ??MBEngineering wrote:HI alfietom
