912 RHD STOLEN
Just in case anyone is approached to buy a 1967 RHD 912, I had mine stolen today. After owning it for 17 years its safe to say I am truly gutted. It is registration 912UGUF with matching numbers, it was silver. If anyone hears of it then please let me know.

VIN 128-2-0231
Engine Number 1085757

Kind Regards
Matt

That registration number doesn't look right - not a valid format ...

It was north London. It was last seen on Friday. Unfortunately I was away with work so I only noticed this morning.

Parked on a street ? Seems to be becoming a common problem in London :(

Any photos of the car or feature to look out for ?

.. also, welcome to DDK Matt, sorry its under these circumstances though

That reg no. makes more sense.

So, it's actually a 1968 model 912 built in late '67.

Any other details - interior colour, wheels (steels or Fuchs, etc) ?

.

2 weeks ago I had my Land Rover Discovery stolen from my drive way in North West London.

Top tip if you have a car with keyless entry put the key in a faraday bag when at home.

So where are these Porsche 911/912s going? They are stealing one a month at the moment from London. This doesn't sound like inopportune theft does it? Even if people want to blame johnny foreigner coming back to the same area over again raises the risk of being caught even if the Police are apathetic to this. This amount of old 911s would itself attract other undesirable punters to steal from the thieves?

That's where I got the photos from - it's quite widely shared.

At one time there was a theory that the cars were heading to Eastern Europe along with lots of those rotten wrecks you see for sale in the US.
It was happening in mainland Europe too.
I had always thought my RHD 356 was immune from this because the steering wheel was on the wrong side. However.....
