OK, a far cry from a slickly framed, high res image of my pride and joy.
This photo has different value - my grandparents (aged 75 and 78 ), getting their first ever ride in a Porsche.
They said it was well worth the wait!

superb :)

I hope your Gran could get out of the back seats ok

I took my Grandmother- inlaw out in my Porsche last year, around her town of Richmond (N.yorks) and all she wanted to do was find some of her friends to cruise past showing off   . She did keep asking if it was always this noisy.... and this was with me keeping the engine below 4000 rpm

:P Exactly what my gran said too: "What's that terrible noise! There's something making a terrible niose behind the seat, James!" :?
Grandad says: "The engine is in the back of these things, that'll be the blower you can hear" :drunken:

They did both keep telling me to slow down too. And I never went over 35mph! Bless 'em.

Xlnt pics

I took my vintage Aunt (93) out for a blast in the Trekker, she kept on about the war then told me in full secrecy about the GIs she'd 'dallied' with after local dances 'it was lonely then'... she loved the flying goggles though (no screen)

10 years later I have found another photo of the outing that day on my hard drive.
So I'm posting it here, for posterity. RIP Stan:

I'm moved by this post. Confirms to me what I always knew, it's not the car it's the car and them in it. RIP Stan. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam.
