Thanks Andy. According to the seller, the cases were the only think that were used by the engine builder in Oregon to create the 2.5 ST engine in my replica ST. Everything else was new.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of the engine case question. Just curious that's all.

Was the engine builder Jeff Gamroth (Rothsport) by any chance ?

So the cases were made at least a month before use for the new 77 MY. This might be deliberate due to two weeks imminent lost production for the August summer shutdown but I expect these days engine component production is more JIT even around holiday periods.

The engine was built by Steve Weiner at Rothsport. I’m guessing some place as Geoff Gamroth?
