If anyone just has the pin assembly with the spring, end cone and base nut then that would be OK also ?

If bought a couple of the repros and shape is OK but quality of the metal is poor. In fact I have a new repro one in my hand. They are relatively easy to bend compared to the originals but look OK cosmetically.

The intent of this post is to try to find someone with the pin/spring/nut part so I can simply refit it to the replated BROMO original I have. Very annoying that the platers have lost the pin but that's they way it is.

So if anyone has a spare pin/spring/nut then let me know.

Andrew

Isn't that the part which dissolves during the plating process? No wonder they have lost it.
I think Jamie had the same problem.

Mike

I'm still after a M12X1.0 bonnet pin assembly with nut/spring etc.

(Cees's pin was an M8 rear engine lid latch pin so not what I was after)

Andy, found this pin, collar, nut and spring as I was searching for something else today whilst working on my 911.

Thread is a very fine M12
parts are off a 1973 T front hood latch.

All yours if you need them for a donation to the DDK Charity Fund.

Graham.
