Emory Campout 2017

Last weekend I made it out to the Emory Campout.
I never went last time I lived here, so was very excited ! It was a great event on so many levels...an event that was held annually since the mid 90's, that last took place 5 years ago. Rod Emory relocated down to California, the "arrive and drive" part of the business winded down and the farm went back to being...a farm.
The event for me meant I finally got to meet Rod Emory, I have a lot of respect for the man (and his dad Gary) and as I have mentioned before, it was seeing the Emory Specials back in the early 2000's that really inspired me when building the Modrod. Plus I managed to arrive with both my cars*
There were some epic roadtrips made to get to the event from out of state...some over 3000miles! For me it was a quick 40 mile blast down I-5 south and then cross-country...after all those cross-european slogs to meet up at Lemans or Spa it made quite a change
The camping was basic, the craic was great, the Beer flowed, the Oregon summer shone down and the cars were special.....so in no particular order:
*(my friend and mechanic Erik drove the 912...this isn't a photoshop trick)
