What a weekend.
Brendan, Tom and myself arrived on the Friday evening staying in Big Rhonda the MoHo. Brendan was the perfect guest, eating all his dinner, drinking all the drink and brushing his teeth before he went to bed
My first practise run on the Saturday didn't go particularly well My accelerator pedal decided to come away from the steel rod jamming it for a brief noisy moment about 20 foot from the hairpin Managed to stop, switched the engine off and after about 5 mins I was able to push the pesky pad back on and drive back into the paddock. Thank you to Silverfox for checking and putting my mind at rest that it was firmly back in place .
Honey behaved very very well for Brendan after he changed her spark plugs about 4 times taking nearly 2 seconds off each run up the hill.
Once the driving was over for the day he very lovingly covered Honey up and gave her a wee kiss goodnight .
Brendan got up nice and early to do the 4 mile walk to get the supplies in for the rest of the day .
The lovely Mike B arrived with Brendan's sticky rear tyres and tweaked Honey's points which improved his times greatly again.
A short whilst later Mike (210bhp) and Rhona arrived to complete a great weekend had by all.
Looking forward to next year with the two Mikes participating next year (hopefully)

Fantastic weekend, can't thank Margaret enough, getting me to spend £100's to take part in the event and then whipping my ass!
Staying in the paddock for the weekend is definitely the way to do it and as well as being a great driver Margaret cooks a great steak. Really good seeing Tom, Mike, Mike, Paul and lots of others. Such a friendly atmosphere and I can't recommend it enough to those who haven't been before.
Really pleased with my effort and I improved with every run and reduced the gap to Margaret from over 2 seconds to 0.8. Next year, next year...
Here are some pictures of the event.

Johnny it was a very nice 1975 car owned by a guy from the Borders called Colin Robinson. He's had the car for 30 years.
Hope you are there next year in the 928

Are you sure it's not Colin Robertson. My friend who has the small local village garage was telling me that his Uncle was servicing that car a good few years ago. There is a short uphill straight before the village and they used to see how fast various cars could get up to on the straight and Colin's was the first car they topped 100mph up the straight with!

30 years ownership, brilliant.
Will be there in something next year - but I need a class I am competitive in!
Ingliston revival anyone?

How about a ddk hillclimb at Culzean Castle instead of another boring Highland Tour?

Re: Bo'ness Hillclimb 2017 - 2nd & 3rd September 2017
I have been asked by the organizer if I could get a nice display of around 5 cars ones with a bit of history around them and said to get in touch with DDK.
I have passed on the details to the RO of TIPEC and PCGB to see if they can also but on some interesting cars so could have 3 Porsche clubs display ,they are looking for cars up to the 90's
I believe they have a 917 attending ,if any one is interested get in touch with

Sorry forgot to add its the Argyll festival 2/3 June 2018 at the Castle
