Wow.
I must admit to not having looked in on the 914 threads of late and I'm slapping my own wrists.
I just read through your entire thread and its amazing.
Fabulous work, I cant wait to see more and the end result.

Thank you both. I haven’t been around much of late as I’ve been building a new/ massively modified garage so I can complete the restoration of the 914. I’m hoping that I will be able to get the shell into it in the next week or two. Please stay tuned and your kind comments will inspire me to get over the finishing line!
Thanks again, I really appreciate you chiming in.

So finally got around to fitting the Campags onto the painted shell. Go way to get motivated after building the new garage. Sooooo tight at the back with 9”

That looks fantastic. It is tight at the rear, but under compression I guess the negative camber will only increase giving more clearance than at rest…

Nice job on the garage / workshop. I thought you had some sort of fancy curtain side, then realised it is a sliding door!!!

964 looks nice too, like the GT3-esque centre pipes.

Enjoy putting it together!

Cheers

Thank you so much Wayne. It’s so nice to have all three in the same postcode now!
I think I might have to take a bit of the back of the wheels to cover me for tyre flex.
Good spot on the 964 and I’m right proud of my sliding doors in matching green to my ramp. Always wanted to make a set.
Still some work to do on the garage / workshop and the full on 914!

Just spotted this build. Such a shame it was not in the Projects section as so many more would have seen this effort and been inspired!
Superb work making a modified and near new car of a 914, really good.

Looking forward to the next stages now I know! :)

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I’m glad you’re all ‘Feeling the garage’ in truth it’s almost killed me, but I’m so pleased with the outcome

Hot66 That’s the garage door as you can see in the pictures above. If you look closely at the last picture you can see what I do for a living. I got the blacksmith to make me up some as a nod to my business….
