So i thought it was about time i started a build thread, mainly to document the work I'm doing on the car.
I picked it up January this year, delivered from holland after i sold my old oval window beetle.
Its a Matching Numbers, Light ivory 912, 07/07/1966 build/ 67 model.
I bought it as running driving car, but with the intention of doing a full restoration, with a few suspension/engine upgrades.
Heres a few pictures from the day i collected it....
Then got a bit of use out of it before the strip down started....

Cheers guys.
Yeah luckily it's really solid, just a few minor bits on the floors, rear parcel shelf, and an old repair that needs doing properly on the rear quarter.

So it's off to envirostrip next Monday. Looking forward to getting it stripped, but slightly nervous of what it might uncover haha.

Got the car all loaded up ready to go yesterday.
And dropped off today....
Been given a 3 week turn around which is quicker than I expected, so well pleased with that.
Can't wait to get it back and start on the metal work.

I'm a complete amateur (with the scars and the bills to prove it)
BUT I am halfway through doing an average resto on a RHD 1967 912.
Look forward to seeing how you progress.
Hopefully I'll learn something.
Good luck!
Matthew

Cheers,
I've built a few VWs but this Porsche is a bit of a learning curve, although I guess they are just nuts bolts and metal at the end of the day.
