Very nice...Keep up the process !

Those raw Torque thrusts look great.....Reminds me of Andy Hass' 911 R build (cool car!), from memory he had his Fuchs bead blasted and then matt clear coated to retain the raw look.

Not had a chance to get on this for a while, been really busy with work, but I have still been collecting parts.

I’ve managed to collect nearly all new Nickel plated nuts, bolts washers etc.
Had most of the suspension/steering parts stripped/powder coated and ready to go back on.
Complete wiring loom restored and ready to fit.
Also just ordered some new shiny bits, elephant racing adjustable spring plates, bushes, correct door hinge bolts and washers.

Once my delivery turns up I’ll free up a bit of time to start getting stuff fitted up and have some actual picture updates.

Thanks
The black is Upol Raptor underneath/inner arches, then a normal satin/Matt black for the dash, engine bay and interior details.

Yeah planning to keep the raw finish. They will need some form of protection, just researching what to use.... I’ve had a few sets of mags now and they are like sponges, seem to soak up any moisture.

Maybe try ACF-50 - spray on, wait, wipe off, job done. Its not permanent but will last a wee while before it needs re-coating....

Or chromate them, darker finish but properly protected.

I simply painted my wheels (Dymag magnesium race wheels) after crack testing them.

Old mag wheels can be susceptible to internal cracking etc, many do not use them for racing anymore.

Cheers, I’ll look into that and give it a try.

I like the chromate finish, so it’s another thing I will look into. Cheers

Not sure this of any use to anyone but Euro Car Parts have U-Pol Raptor on special offer for £98.99 instead of £226 (not sure if that’s a good price or not?)

Long overdue update.

Finally started getting some of the refurbed and new parts bolted back on, starting with the rear suspension.

Elephant Racing adjustable spring plates with Powerflex Heritage bushes.

Also got some of the boring bits done this week, (too boring for pictures  )
Stripped the bonnet and decklid catches, sorted through a load of parts to send off for zinc plating and also stripped the pedal box for zinc plating and painting, ready to be re-built with new bushes, and the same with the brake callipers, and dropped them all off at the platers this morning.

While I was sorting through my mountain of parts, i dug out some bit that i won't be using, including a Bursch style exhaust and silencer and the Original front seats. Ive decided i want to run the rsr style buckets from BF Torino so contemplating selling or trading the originals.

Should hopefully have some more updates next week when i get the bits back from the platers.
