Small bit of progress tonight, received a load of parts back from the platers, so built my pedal box back up with new bushes.

Pedals look nice.

Are you putting new nylon inserts in the door strikers?

Ralph.

Cheers.
Looked at pulling them apart to replace them, but the plating company said they could do it with them in, so decided to leave them for now, and they turned out well.

More back from the platers, just waiting on some bits back from powdercoat and I can get the backend built up and rolling.

Any plastic parts,ie door strikers, lid catches always look brand new after plating ive found.Must be the cleaners used prior to plating.Nice bonus!

Hey guys, I’m desperately trying to get hold of a seal that has been discontinued by Porsche, and doesn’t come with the bearing set I’ve purchased.

I have one just need the other before I can finish the rear brakes, it’s the seal that sits on the rear of the hub (not the sprung seals) and inside the rear bearing race. Part number is 901 331 283 00
And they look like this……

Been a bit of slow progress this year, between getting married, building a business and moving units.

I have managed to get most of the rear end up built up.

And then we had the move up to the new unit last weekend

More space, more storage and hopefully I’ll have some more spare time to get some more work done.

That belongs to my mate who I share the unit with. It’s a 64 he’s been building for about 10 years, Rancho pro street gearbox, 2110 fuel injected turbo, Porsche 944 turbo brakes etc.

Still needs setting up, but it’s quick, very quick

That's the kind of Victorian stone-built barn/workshop I dream of owning. Where is it located?

Rear bumper and centre panel are going for paint soon, so I’ve spent a few hours last week dry fitting them, getting them fitting nice and gaps correct

Steering rack cleaned up, adjusted and turbo tie rod conversion fitted.

And a load more plating sent off and more collected.
