More items FS: 911 / 914 / Miscellaneous
1) 400mm early 911 steering wheel: SOLD
Condition = >100k miles / 45 years patina!
One patch of the leather has worn thru to the rim and has been taped, and you may prefer to have the wheel re-covered. ( Please see Jonathan Parr )
Dated 5/72, this wheel is the original fitted to my old 2.4E when it rolled off the production line.
The new owner of that car contacted me out of the blue in November, and I agreed to sell this to him.
Sadly he has since gone AWOL and - although it's a real shame not to reunite the car and the wheel - I have given up waiting for him to get back in touch.
2) VW Porsche 914-6 emblem (repro). SOLD
Condition = Excellent. It is brand new and has never been fitted, mounting pins are perfect.
This is an Auto Atlanta repro, and they charge $175 + international shipping + UK import duty: http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-914- ... d-srch.htm
Originals are impossible to find and even repros can be hard to source these days, this beauty is ready to fit to your -6...
3) VW Porsche 914 emblem (original). SOLD
Condition = Very good. Dead straight, no scratches, pins all fine just the tiniest hint of surface rust at the base of a couple of the pins (which you could clean before install).
This is a genuine Porsche item which I have just removed from my 914.
Repros are sold by Sierra Madre for $96 + tax + shipping: http://www.sierramadrecollection.com/91 ... 26999.html
Setting the clocks!
Before I post the two next items, here is a link to current eBay prices for 911 VDO clocks:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... 9&_sacat=0
£150+ for below average items? and £300 and more with shipping and tax for nice ones...
I think this make my two below billy bargains, priced for quick sale:
4) 911 VDO Clock - £95
Condition = Average.
Part # 911 641 701 29, Dated 11/80.
It was working when removed from a car about 5 years ago. Has been kept safe and dry since, so should be fine, but have not tested since.
There are a couple of small dings in the bezel, which you can see in the photos. Paint the bezel and hard to notice once fitted.
5) 911 VDO Clock - Refurbished - £150
Condition = Excellent. Fully refurbed item.
Part # 911 641 701 29, Dated 9/84. I bought this about 4 years ago as a spare, and have never fitted it. It is lovely.
6) 914 "Short" Rear Valence SOLD[/b]
Condition = Excellent, ready to bolt on.
All tabs are good and solid, with no cracks. Paint is very nice, with correct textured satin black finish.
Similar items are 260euros from FSH, and those are unpainted and need fettling to fit.

Hello James, I'm interested in the cheaper of the clocks... can you hook it up to 12v and check its ticking?

No worries, thanks. Gives me time to pop mine out and make sure it is definitely dead..
