Re: Classics at the Castle is back!
Good point John. Live and let live I say. We all have one thing in common and that is a love of Porsches. That is good enough for me. Ddk and PCGB are different and the Porsche screen in the UK is a richer place for having both. There are plenty of Porsche events to go round so you make your choices, and no club/group has exclusivity to all the A-holes.911hillclimber wrote: I've never heard of a 'DDK' person slagged off at a PCGB event or read anything on their web site.

Re: Classics at the Castle is back!
Anyone fancy getting together the night before for a meal and a few beers
Sarah and I will probably be staying in a hotel somewhere near by on Saturday night.
Would come across a bit earlier to spend the evening if there was any murmurings of a get together.
We haven't booked a hotel yet, but probably will do in the next few days.
Cheers
Andrew

Good idea. It was fun when everyone had a night in Cambridge beforehand a few years ago. Mainly because I could walk home after.

Thinking of going this year to help decide what colour to paint the car.
Strange question but are dogs allowed?
Also what sort of time does it wind down, trying to decide if I can do it in a day.
Cheers Stuart.

Re: Classics at the Castle is back!
Sam/Bert,
Sarah and I haven't booked a hotel yet, as I was thinking someone might know a good one somewhere nearby where we could maybe meet up and eat as well. That way beers can be consumed
Equally if somewhere knows somewhere decent to eat we'll just book somewhere nearby
I'm not familiar with the area. Know we've stayed somewhere local a few times before, but never the same place twice. Not because they were bad at all, just the way things turned out and trying to find a room on Booking.com
Anyone got any ideas ? before I suggest somewhere random.
I could get Sarah to find out where we stayed last time and suggest that ?
Are either of you planning to stay locally the night before ?
Cheers
Andrew
ps Just checked and this is where we stayed last time. Nothing fancy but quite nice.

Re: Classics at the Castle is back!
I líve in Cambridge, maybe 30 miles west of Hedingham, so I'd pop over for a beer or two on my bike if you were this side. Clare's a bit of a schlep for me to get home from, but just about doable.
Finchingfield is amusingly twee.
Saffron Walden is a pleasant enough market town. Haverhill a bit more spit n sawdust.
Cambridge is nice...
But defo don't work around me. I'm unreliable so might not even make it.

Saffron Walden is a nice little place with a hotel and only thirty minutes from heddingham! It also has one good pubs and restaurants.
I would steer clear of haverhill
