The mechanics of it are being handled by PCGB, with the display (in this instance, 911Ss of all years) by the C at the C team of old. The parade of cars was inevitably going to be abandoned on grounds of health and safety (anyone who witnessed the castle's owner rushing up and down trying to slow cars down won't be surprised by this...). The main move was to get the show away from looking like a Porsche Cars GB show. The reference to 'should not be tainted by diversity' is, I take it, a reference to the divisions that have grown between PCGB and the rest of the world (well, DDK, and the like). As far as I am aware there is no problem about any pre-'74 cars at the event, and I doubt anyone who turned up in a backdate would have a problem, either.

Personally, I can't wait...

No problem with not having post 74 Backdates You have to draw a line if you market the show as a pre 74

In the past there has always been an 'other Porsches' car park somewhere between the 'VIP pre-74' section and the 'shopping cars and mini buses' area.
964 C2 Targa. 205 1.6 GTi. Testarossa. Fisher Fury Fireblade. Motorhome. Motorbikes. Scooters. Pushbikes. Threadbare Saucony Peregrines. Dog. Human relations and friends. 97.5%-built house.

It's fine, we'll hold a special gathering in that car park:

1st Annual Post ’73 Porsche Treffuckoffen.

Classics at the Castle is back!

Maybe the event is changing. I turned up at the last one. Stayed over across the road and went to the party the night before. I turned up in a 993 and got shuffled off to the "other parking area". In that other area were more Porsches than I've ever seen in one parking area. The 993s parked together , 964s next along etc right up to Cayennes. I thought it was great. I walked through into the main event which was littered with early cars only. Exclusive versus mine. I certainly never felt any "get lost" vibe from anywhere. Plus I saw a car which had been restored and is to me a "hot rod" in a commercial area in the main event. Car like yours Johnny. Very nice car. Found it all very interesting and picked up some tips / info from nice people. Don't really see the issue with having this event mainly focussed each time on a different generation of car which Porsche built and restricting it. Anyway to each their own. If it's half as good as last time I'll be delighted.

Just went to book and I have to buy extra because I'm not a member :) It has made me consider not booking.

True - but same for lots of events they organise from track days to motor shows. This isn't unique in that regard. There will always be a discount for paying members I suppose. Or else they would start complaining that they weren't getting a discount presumably!

It's only a fiver extra for non pcgb members! Really?

Now it's two shows in one with the f**k off show in the other field organised by the splitters who have splintered from the splitters!?

Bargin.

Oh and it's just around the corner from me.

It's quite simple. He only wants the kommanditgesellschaft cars not the aktiengesellschaft cars.
