Porsche Register

Post by Maxige »

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to take part to this year's Targa Florio Classic but I need to provide some docs related to the car.

The only one that seems to be easily attainable in a reasonable amount of time is an attestation of the car being registered in one of the marque registers.

Anyone familiar with the process? Is it possible to getting the car registered fairly quickly? Looks like I'm quite short on time unfortunately....

Thanks,
Max

That's the issue...few weeks are too long unfortunately. The event is at the end of April and registrations will close shortly! :(

Hi Max

Even if you don't get registered in time I would still go and watch, drive, eat, drink and take in the atmosphere. I was there last year with James 23 Heure and we had a great time. He might be able to to help more than I because he entered the Giro de Sicilia with his car. The island is fantastic.

Take a look at the thread on here 'ducktailing to the targa' or similar.

If you want James's phone number or email just pm me if he doesn't catch this thread or pm him direct. I'm sure he might be able to help.

Regards
Mike

What is the format of the event? Is it a stage or regularity event?

Sadly, the one I'm taking part to is a regularity event, hopefully next year with all the proper papers in place will do the one divided in stages.

Car looks great, and you will by law have to do us a nice write up in the general chat section, with lots of pics!

I do fancy doing this event in my 356 one day.

Had a look at the website, can't find the regs anywhere. Do you have a link or a .pdf?

Just got back from the Targa Florio...what a great event!! We managed to get 3rd in our Class (cars from '66 to '71) and finished an honest 17th overall out of 60+ entrants.

Amazing roads nice people and some very good driving during the transfers "racing" against a small group of Alfa GTAs and Lancia Fulvia HFs! Really really cool!!
