I dropped it off at OSC for a hornoscopy and painting on Wednesday. It should be ready just after the bank holiday.

Just picked it up. I think it looks great.

The RSR style horns suit the exhaust much better than the original shape

The wheels are original 7R's at the front and 8's at the rear. They were refurbished by Art wheels near Strasbourg in France around 18 months ago,

It sounds awesome. It howls. I have no soundproofing either. Not sure how enjoyable it will be on a long journey.

Got myself a list of winter projects to do....

And fixed the issue of my windscreen wipers that were not parking and no intermittent. I also fixed my horn.

H1 Refurb:

My original H1's were pretty tired looking....
Image

The bowls and reflectors were corroded
Image

Image

Image

Rather than restoring all the parts, I bought replacements rims, reflectors and seals
Image

The rims came with the very long bolts and all rubber grommets already attached.
Image

The reflectors are very good quality. A significant improvement.
Image

I sanded down and repainted the bowl
Image

I cleaned up the crusty original springs and fitted a few other replacement parts
Image

Job done. Now they are adjusted and the lenses have been cleaned they are excellent lights. Much better than the H4's that the previous owner had fitted.

My Dials have now been removed. I dropped them off with Julian Reap earlier this week (all socially distanced and masked appropriately of course).

None of them are in a terrible state, but they all need modifications, particularly the speedo following my move from Switzerland to the UK, to put a new MPH dial face on.

I've used Julian twice with perfect cost and on time.
Does your clock work?
I had contemplated Julian to repair mine that sometimes works for a few minutes then stops for months. Electrics to the clock are ok, the clock is suspect.

Not sure if he is a clock restorer AND repair capable?

Hi,
My clock does work, it just runs slow, so he will adjust it. He did have the new mechanical bits for a clock that he was putting in for someone else.
