993 gear box rebuild

Having read Paul's comments on the gear box in his 993 resto thread, I've come to the conclusion that my 993 gearbox might have worn synchromesh (as it's a bit sticky), plus it has a wine at higher rev's. So I'm thinking it needs a rebuild. Any suggestions on who might be best for such a job, and any rough idea of prices?

Can't remember the guy's last name - Mike somebody or other - works in the Lake District or Cumbria - it may have been "Bainpontoon" or something like that

I think it was Bainwalkwayoverriverorotherobstacle. Google it, sure he's in there somewhere, it's quite an unusual surname.
