1966 Polo Red 912 (3 dial)

Post by TomB »

Hello everyone
I thought I would start a resto thread on my recently acquired 912.
It's been a car I've wanted for years and finally bitten the bullet and decided to do it

It's in need of a full going over and I need few bits
It's going be a labour of love and not a quick process with a young family, work etc etc but something Iam certainly looking forward to doing
Few pics for now and I will try and keep it updated as best I can

Thanks

Tom

As it arrived at my house

Looks like it could be a great project Tom - a '66 912 3 dial is a great car.
Just try to keep it as stock as possible - will look good when you get it off the floor. ;)

Me too! Very brace, but I agree that keeping it stock is good.

Yes, the repair floors available are split two ways, front to back or side to side.

You can also get front to back perimeter 'strips' about 300mm wide so replacing the sill edge only. 2 times the welding, but you leave the centre tunnel alone.

I made my own side strips when I did my 911 as none were available then!
