Ive just had a quote for £295 fully comp, which for an old git like me who only wants to drive on dry weekends is a bit extreme (me thinks).

I paid much less than that for my 911, but the company I was with dont do kits !

going to shop arround.

How many covictions? off roading and using it as a taxi must be cheaper

From posts elsewhere it would seem C N are not interested in insuring anything very much at all .
You are doing well to even get a reply !

Yeah Carole Nash clearly didn't want my Turbo insurance this year - they quoted £865 at renewal so I went to A Manning for £511 inc PCGB track day cover - 5,000 mile basis.

The 2.4T is with R H Specialist Car Insurance for the princely sum of £157 - 5,000 mile basis.

FWIW my everyday Merc C250TD Est is with Privilege on a 25,000 mile policy for £395 - I think that's good value.

Not sure about replicas though.

After much shopping arround, and some insurers not even having the decency to get back to me ! The best quote I have had is from HIC this comes in at £240 fully comp with 5000 restricted milleage.

Tell me about it! I am waiting for about 3 or 4 replies. Don't even bother asking anyone to reply by email - it is as though they do not know what it is!
Incidently if you want to insure something that does not include the word 'Porsche' in its description, B Portwood & co have an insurance menu in which you can calculate your own premium - seem pretty reasonable as well!
