I see there's a big HSCC 50th anniversary race meeting coming up at Castle Combe in just a couple of weeks on Sat April 16 and Sun 17.

The race programme looks good on the Saturday, and maybe I could try and get a small club parking section on either day for a few DDK cars in the display area "Club Avenue" (minimum 3 cars)? Anyone who wants to come not in a Porsche can also park free in the public areas.

It's not an expensive event - adult weekend tickets are £15.00 if you are displaying, and £10.00 for seniors!

Anyone free at this late notice to come along for an inaugural DDK South West meet up? If so, which day/s?

I had thoughts about going on the Sunday, only because Sarah works that day, so I'm 'home alone'.

That's cool Keith. So we're potentially two thirds of the way to a DDK south west club display! Anyone else for the Sunday?

I'm marshalling on the Somerset Stages on Friday & Saturday, and ought to be getting the car and camper ready for Wiscombe 24/25th on Sunday, so will have to miss out............. :?

Should be a good day.

Powderham on July 10th, Sherborne Classics on July 17th and Thornfalcon on Sept 18th are all good SW events/places to meet. If any of these appeal maybe we can arrange time and place.

Failing that, suggest a pub, place or drive or whatever and let's see who's interested.

July 10th = Le Mans Classic, July 17th = Dragstalgia, so not on for me. Where/what's Thornfalcon?

The Thornfalcon meet is held at Henlade about 10 mins off Taunton.Junct 25 Keith.
It's big but informal. We could arrange to meet up before, and go in in convoy to park up together. Lots to see.

Now my 914 is on the road I'm interested in getting some miles in this summer so yes count me in.

I note Haynes Car Museum at Sparkford, (on the A303 between Wincanton and Yeovil), has had a huge re-fit and have a Breakfast meet on the first Sunday of the month. OK the dates for that don't work for Thornfalcon but what about meeting there for Breakfast on Sept 18th, (Café opens at 9.00 anyway), then a leisurely drive to the Thoprnfalcon Show, (about 5 miles from J25 of the M5). It's about 25 miles on Country roads between the two?

Or open to other options...

So, how many are coming to Thornfalcon this Sunday 18th?
I hope to be there after spending 2 1/2 hrs yesterday battling to get the rhs parking brake on the 914/6 to pass MoT.

Cheers!
