911 Body shell weight

Post by MrWattsey »

Ok here's another weird one for you....

What is the approx weight of a stripped down 1971 911T Bodyshell?

I'm going to attempt to make a trolley and would like to know the load weight if possible?

Thanks

Sure this has been raised on here before; it depends on exactly how much you have stripped e.g. removing doors, front wings, cut off rear wings. Assuming it is everything removed that can be removed it is somewhere around 200-250kgs at an estimate.

Thanks Graeme,

I'll be removing everything that "unbolts" so no cutting......Yet......

So all doors, bonnet, engine lid, suspension, loom, bumpers & brackets, glass, interior.... the lot ready for media blasting basically.

Thanks

So apparently, the T is a bit slow and boring, so you will only need a low speed trolley.

Whoops wrong thread, sorry!
