This is my new pride and joy, a 1968 911S, picked up from Nick at Early 911 on Saturday after a full restoration. Haven't had a chance to take any pics as I spent the weekend blasting around my home town waking up the neighbours, but as I couldn't wait to tell the world - well DDK - I pinched these off Nicks website - sorry Nick.
In short it's had a nut/bolt resto. The dreaded rust has been cut out and replaced, it's had a full respray in original Ossi Blue, new carpets, Recaro Sports seats recovered in leather, suspension stripped and rebuilt, brakes stripped and rebuilt, and engine stripped and rebuilt (not the most technical of descriptions, but the best I can do). Plus I've had an Autofarm three pipe sports exhaust fitted, which sounds fierce.
It'll be on Nick's stand at Beaulieu, so I'll be down there hopefully putting some DDK names to faces. I'll be the one with the huge grin and the hearing problem (It's a long way from Walsall to Beaulieu, but I don't think I"ll be capping the sports exhaust just yet).
