New Top Gear line-up

Post by KS »

Blimey, Sabine Schmitz and Chris Harris joining Chris (knob) Evans. Coulthard also said to appear...

Sabine and Chris Harris definitely good choices. IMHO, of course.

She can look as rough as a mountain goat but then other times her infectious smile and girl next door looks stir something. She can rag me around The Ring anytime

Surprising (to me at least) announcement if it's true - can't see that combination working particularly well.

I seem to be one of the few people who is not a fan of Chris Harris either ...

I hope personally this line-up is correct.

Incidentally, can anyone remember when the TG Trio came on the screen? I can't but what was the reaction to 3 lads having a lark with cars? iirc they followed a disaster of a nerd from Ireland and the program had little to no direction or structure??

Anyway, it will be different. It needed (to me) to be re-designed and re-presented. We have mostly moaned about TG over the last 24 months.

I think if you want to get tuned into this new line-up start watching Fifth Gear. VH is as tom-cat as you would like, and Sabina is from the same mould.
Tiff is just a really good guy who has actually done it, and Jonney has an attitude of his own that fits in. Plato and the new ace driver (can't remember his name) is where DC will come in.

There are parallels with the two progs imho and CE will have enough mad-cap ideas to add some energy as long as he is not on an ego trip all the time and thinks it is TFIF etc..

CH I think will add a lot as he is competent behind the wheel of many different cars and skilful in his presentation of facts and measured opinion.

I'm looking forward to it !! :)

I'm the complete opposite - can't stand Fifth Gear - & have zero interest in a 'serious' motoring programme ...

Looking forward to the new line up, Harris seems like a down to earth guy, who knows his stuff, and he's a big early 911 fan so could be some cool Porsche content in the future.

The old format imho had seen better days around 5 yrs ago....repetitive crap, with 3 guys all annoying in their own special ways...

The good thing is we'll actually have both the new Chris Evans helmed format and a new version of the 'old' trio too over on Amazon TV.

Personally looking forward to both.
Best

While Bootsy may dream of Sabine Schmidt taking him up the ring, sorry around the ring,
from what I've seen of her on tv she appears to have all the personality of a cold bratwurst...
cheers, Mike.

Stop it you two. Sabine likes rare meat not bratwursts. You'll
Know that if you've been to her folks restaurant near the ring
