Hi All

A bit off topic for DDK, but you never know, someone may be able to help me. This is for my 993 (rewiring project).
I need some urgent help, I'm looking for a 40A fuse holder but can't find one (have mailed the various UK breakers but can't find one).

In the engine bay relay box there is a single 40A fuse holder that clips into the box.

You can see it at the bottom in this picture:

It clips in as you can see from these pics

and this one

It is for the secondary air injection pump and I need another of the fuse holders (and short wires that we can splice in).
I think that it is actually part of the main car/ecu loom, but I bought a second hand loom and it looks like this fuse holder had already been removed.

Any help of pointers on where to find one (in case anyone knows of an old car (rather than engine) loom, relay box etc. or another car that used the same fuse holder, very much appreciated.

Steve

HI sfl993t4
had a check on the parts list and came up with 999 650 193 40 at £3.05 +vat from Porsche. would need the chassis No' to check if correct for your car

you may also need a lock for it with a Part No' 999 650 371 40 £0.61 +vat from Porsche

regards mike

Get yourself to a scrapyard and find yourself any Volkswagen or Audi product from 1990 onwards. On a mk2 or 3 Golf you'll find at least one of those clipped on top of the fusebox. Sharans have about twenty! It's all Bosch stuff anyway - you'll probably have noticed lots of VW part numbers on your connectors and relays.

If you're looking on eBay for VW fuse holders, use CE2 as a search reference. :)

Just in case anyone runs into this again, I now have a collection of fuse holders.

The original Porsche one for a 993 is exactly the same as this one (which fits):

and different from the 996 and VW one's that I found.
