Decembers mild weather

Post by mdmax72 »

So with the mild weather that were having. Anyone pulled the dust sheets of etc and gone for a drive.

Took the Speedster out yesterday for spin and then went to do some Christmas shopping.

Yup. Just been out in my 356A. Saw a lot of swans in a field. As you do.

No, but I was able to paint the outside of my newly rendered house. In mid December!

Would Swan make an acceptable alternative to Turkey ? Say you were driving along in an open top car and he flew in and died and you did not know this until you got home and were parked up in your garage.

You'd have to evade the wrath of the palace as apparently only the Queen, and the fellows of St John's College can eat them. On June 25th. For some reason. I should stick to Turkey. And Happy Christmas to one and all.

Swan is delicious but you have to tell the Queen before you eat it.

I mowed the lawn today. :)

Went to drive up to Somerset today to look at a TVR 280i with my nephew but when I pulled the car out of the garage, there was a pool of oil under the engine... Hmmm. The sump plate had always wept a little but it looks like it's decide to cry... Bugger.

Not using the 911 as its needs some attention, but bike still hasn't had to go into hibernation. In fact on the way back from the orange tree I did several laps of a roundabout to celebrate 15 degrees and bone-dry tarmac at 11pm in December!

I took the 911 out for a spin. Went to Sewerby Hall. It was still bracing up on the clifftop, but nice to get a drive when I thought I would have to wait until Spring.
