356 coupe rep

Post by Helen »

Went into Birmingham today to have my 914 looked at and Came across this 356 Coupe rep today and its not a Covin. As yet its unfinished but have to say so far i am impressed.
If it has a nice, good, strong engine i could be tempted.

Could be a Martin & Walker or one of Gary's creations?

Was it for sale then??

Saw it on PH and enquired about it last week ...was told it was a M&W on a VW shortened chassis by the seller .Would have been interested but I have already committed to some thing else and have no space for a 4th car.

Nice. I wonder how it passed its IVA test without an external fuel filler?

Probably still registered as a Beetle using the 'old' (pre-IVA) system ...

Dvla think its a blue 1967 with a 1200cc engine.

Not a white 1957 with a 1500cc motor.

Interesting... I remember l tried taking my car for an MOT prior to its IVA test. I didn't know at the time it doesn't need MOTing if your going the IVA route. Anyway they refused to MOT it, as its title on the log book didn't match the car.
