It is sad, but will be music to LA lawyers ears (the ones dealing with Paul Walker's case)

Unfortunately just because someone can afford to buy a 'hypercar' doesn't mean that they have the necessary skill to drive it ...

Re: Nasty 918 crash in Malta
To be fair it was on a disused runway and with the crowd very close to it with very little protection by the looks of it....
If it had been on a proper racetrack with proper safety in place at worst it would have been the car and passengers that got injured.
But I guess in Malta there are not many of those available. Sad as it was all for charity. Hope everyone recovers.
Some big lessons being learned I guess.....

I'm generally anti-H&S bullshit, but there's nothing separating this billy-basic wannabe speedmerchant from the crowd of innocent bystanders except a metal fence. It's mental. As Andy said, you can buy the car, but you can't buy the skill not to crash it into a crowd of people. Or the wisdom to take it easy based on the situation.

Not sure about this - it's a different car. I'd say it proves that anyone who drives any variety of fast car fast, is capable of crashing it with pretty terrible consequences.Codfather wrote:It is sad, but will be music to LA lawyers ears (the ones dealing with Paul Walker's case)
