My two current favourite cars !!!

The beetle is amazing ! Yeah, it has a WRX motor in there. The Abarth is just bonkers...everything from the suspension setup to the Yamaha bike engine 8)

First Cars and Coffee at See See motor coffee...Traditionally and motorbike hang out, but we have been meeting up here regularly and the guys decided to hold a low key car event....ROLLING START

Low key as parking can be an issue, but they are going to host it every month with the view of maybe opening a new "car focused" place. All were welcome, just so happened to be mostly Porsche's :)

Jeff Docherty produced some cool posters, his work is really good if anyone needs anything doing.

Then cruised down to a wet regular Cars and Coffee...It was Porsche themed day, but by the time we showed up most of the moderns that usually show up had left...Had a good catch up with some of the local faces though.

Off topic - the intriguing thing about this last picture is that America has embraced the fact that cars are much bigger now and their parking bays are sized accordingly. UK parking bays (4.8m x 2.4m) are now wholly inadequate for modern cars.
I recently had an Audi TT for a short time and found it almost impossible to get in or get out of the thing in supermarket car parks as the doors are HUGE!

On topic - great pics Chris

Mick, try the spaces in a big VW Amarok ... that’s when you realize how small U.K. spaces are.

Chris .. looks like car heaven 8) .

Basement accommodation has a secure lockable door...I'll be quite safe.

Seriously though Portland is great...Coast, Mountains, Rivers, Arty, Music, most micro-brews per capita, most strip-bars per capita...Whats not to like :)

German Palooza this weekend at PIR (local racetrack).

Small scale event, but some nice cars in the display area, car park and also at the track event taking place.

Bratwurst on tap and 30+ temperatures :)
