No, it was one of the cars that jumped out at me as I looked down the list of Photos!

They know a good thing when they see it.. the cream always rises to the top/front! Nice pics, thanks Chris and good you're out there showing them the way to mod a rod.

Now....What's all this about not making CLM.....

Missed the last few events due to bad weather...not against driving my cars in the rain, just don't see the fun standing around in a wet carpark :) Anyway last Saturday the kids had a classmates Birthday party held at the same location as the Cars and Coffee event:

http://www.worldofspeed.org/

I had poked my nose into the Museum afew times but had never ventured in...even though I had seen pictures of a DB4 zagato (one of my all time favourite cars) on display. Despite the DB4, the display has a very 1/4 mile, grass track, going round in circles focus, but there is a nice mix of cars, bikes and afew boats in there...and also the local tech collages use the pristine garage/workshop area as part of their studies.

As it turned out the DB4 wasn't on display anymore.....but some cool stuff was. Including the start up of ''JUNGLE JIM", 1969 nitro funny car which was truely bonkers !! If the noise didn't get you the smell certainly did, which resulted in kids with tears running down their cheeks.....good parenting 101.....but proud to say my girls stayed until the end and even asked questions :)

Hands down best kids Birthday party I have been to in awhile.....and I haven't even mentioned the Scalextric competition :bounce:

Didn't get any pics of the Ice cream Birthday cake, but here is some cars and stuff instead...

Wait...Whats that in the sky?...SUN!

After afew too many rainy weekends recently, yesterday was finally dry! So headed on down with Tom ( work mate, yes I have started work ! and fellow Brit on the same wavelength ) in his uber cool 240Z ! ( more of the Nike car scene to come, the parking garage gets very varied and very cool in the summer )

Change of scene over the weekend...

Portland Transmission warehouse is located in one of the 'still to be developed' areas of Portland. Once a year they put on a show which gets bigger and bigger. A few of the serious guys started to show up at 4am ! I showed up at a much more agreeable 9:30. I met up with some like minded souls and cruised on down.

The show had a distinct Americana Hotrod vibe, but Saturday morning in Glorious sunshine looking at cars was perfect.

The randomness that is THE ODD SQUAD...
