Goodwood Revival

Post by Tosh »

Who's going and when?

I'm there Fri and Sat - likely arrive later on Saturday and leave in the evening which is against my natural inclination to get there early (and thus be knackered by 4!)

I will be visiting the 'Revival' on friday, saturday and sunday :compress:

I will be arriving on thursday (evening) and I will be going home on monday.

Initially I wanted to come over with my Speedster, but the weather forecast, especially on monday (when I will be driving home), isn't great for a car without a roof...

So I will be visiting the Revival with my 1962 Peugeot 404 SL Berline:

Because I don't know a lot of you by face (except the ones of the DDK family I've met during our Scotland Tour last year  ), I can be recognized by my outfit: so don't hesitate to address me

Because I'm from an old Dutch farmers dynasty, I've decided to wear the family uniform:

I was planning to take the family pitchfork, but I'm afraid I will not be allowed to take it with me on the showground...

The wooden shoes are a bit of a challenge: walking on them so now and then is no problem, but whole days... well... We'll see!

I'm going to be there from Thursday for the cricket match, till Sunday. Hoping for fine weather. Both Mrs Kneeslider and I will be attending in appropriate attire. Going to dig out my No6 Prisoner outfit for Friday. Unfortunately not going to be there in my 356, as it needs to go back to the painters for a little rectification work, therefore haven't got it finished in time. As Douglas Adams once said, "I love deadlines, especially the whooshing sound as they fly by".
