Thanks a lot for all the best wishes. DDk stickers the only ones on the car so I think we can call that official sponsorship  Recce day today to make some pace notes. Plan to do full 2 day route twice if we can so could be a long day. Weather forecast looking great, wall to wall sunshine for the 2 days of the rally and not below freezing at night in the mountains. They had snow this time last year for the rally !! but we gambled on good weather and sticky semislick Toyo road legal track tyres. That was lucky :)
Car appears to be running great and none the worse for wear after its transporter journey from the UK.
Bring it on

Recce day today for the first rally. Starts tomorrow at about 6pm with 4 night stages. First rally in this car and first night stages for years. Won't know the running order until 4pm. Got round all the stages once today but could all look very different in the dark  It will be the first time I've ever driven this car in the dark !!! All I've done is set up the light angles on my garage wall.
Car handling great and engine is super tractable standard 2.7 RS 911/83 lump so no worries there. It's positively serene inside compared to the 914/6GT.

Some spectacular machinery there, I'm particularly taken by the MK1 Golf Cabriolet!
