Not great news. I haven't had the honour of meeting them but perhaps many would like to remember them like this?

That's really sad, although I hadn't met John or Judith they were clearly a lovely couple. Life is so fragile it's scary. Like everybody my thoughts are with the family.

Such terrible news.

I met John briefly when I invited him to view Barry's handiwork. He was very appreciative of the help and support this community had shown him. He came across as a really nice guy and would have become a good friend to many people here.

A truly sad time for all that knew John and Judith. My thoughts and sympathy are with all their friends and family.

Very sad. I met him very briefly at the Festival of Speed auction where he bought the 67S, having spoken on the phone a couple of times beforehand. A very nice chap.

Barry wrote:Fellow DDK'ers, it is my very sad duty to bring you news of the deaths of John and Judith Woodget, following a road accident in July.

We knew John on here as Spillers, the owner of an ambitious '67S restoration project.

They were a couple that were truly at the heart of their community, and very much looking forward to enjoying John's recent retirement from Intel. Reports of their recent funeral confirm their widespread popularity, to the degree that many had to listen to the service from outside.

I had the pleasure of meeting them at their lovely home in Wiltshire a year or so ago, and was struck by their widespread interests and enthusiasm for life.

They will clearly be hugely missed by a great range of people, and I'm sure you'd like to join me in offering our sincere condolences to their family and friends.

Barry - John and Judith’s son here. I just installed Tapatalk and it is informing me of posts I hadn’t seen when I logged into Dads account some years ago. As such I’m only just seeing this.

A heartfelt thank you to you and everyone else on this thread for your kind words.

Dad was an immensely passionate Porsche fan and I have fond memories of him telling me all about the ideas, help, connections and support he received from this forum.

Sincere and kind regards to all
