What Silverstone Auctions said in 2011:
"It was stored correctly until 2003, when exported by its relocated owner to the USA and used mainly for track days and shows with the local Porsche Club of America - Lone Star Region."
What is being said now:
" it was dry stored correctly until 2003 when exported by its relocated owner to the USA and used only rarely for shows with the local Porsche club America Lonestar Region"
To me it looks like our typist started with the SA text and edited out the bit about track days.

Looks like the fibreglass wings have been replaced (the horn grills have reappeared)!

Looks like they may be stuck on from the pictures on Car and Classic, but only an inspection is going to reveal if they have been changed or not?

It’s been really bugging me, where I had seen it before
Trawling through the old pictures of Classic Le Mans 2014, and knew I had seen it there!
At that time it still had fibre glass front wings, (with horn grills stuck on) and I think fibre glass rear wings, as well as a roll cage in it.
It was parked in the DDK site, so some other members must have seen it and had a look?
Hopefully I have pasted the right page here

Just seen this, I know the car, it belonged to a fellow DDK’er who sold it around 8 months ago, to an enthusiast who wanted an early 911.
I’m a bit amazed really that it seems to have been ‘flipped’ in a very short period of time for a £69k mark up.
Yes it did have fibre glass wings and a half roll cage in it as Cab 63 describes, but I think the rears may have been steel.
It was fully resprayed prior to the sale, by someone local in Cornwall, the the Fuchs were painted/detailed at the same time.
It did need further work doing on it.
I think, but maybe wrong but read somewhere there were only 38 RHD 911L produced.
Whether this scarcity has inflated the price or not I don’t know, or what may have been done to it over the 8 months, but a £69K profit seems, well……………………………………………………….
