Non Porsche cars

Post by Banjo »

Is it time to create a new for sale tab for DDK'ers other non Porsche cars? Seems to be a proliferation of various marques that detracts from the interesting bits IMHO!!

Its not confusing but 11 out of 25 posts, nearly half, on this page are for non Porsche cars on a for sale forum that is supposed to be for Porsches, and is an increasing trend.
Cant harm to have another tab surely? And is this really the best place to advertise the family runabout?

The last 4 posts are for a Datsun, an Audi, a Clio and something else forgettable. Why not put the Trade and Private tabs together? At least then all Porsche vehicles would be in the same place?

Because trade adverts are paid for by traders and deserve their own section - they are different. Traders prefer it this way and viewers like to know what's trade and what's private

I really can't see a problem. The description under the Cars For Sale forum has always encouraged other makes from members - from day one of the forum. It's been like it for 11 years and the mix of cars has always added to the section in my opinion.

Members 'other' cars get more exposure being in one section this way too.

Unfortunately we do see less Porsches for sale these days - there's less on the market and many don't need advertising anymore.

It's not a manic area of the site and as all adverts are locked there's no bumping up and down of threads so there's not really an issue seeing the Porsche and non Porsche

I'm not one for creating lot's of subforums - history shows they don't get viewed.

Always happy to consider suggestions but I'm just not feeling the need for this one. Thanks
