What a strange mix - esp. the flag mirrors ! Maybe it had been updated to IB spec in the 80s ?

A 2.0S is a nice car though, if someone can find the right sort of engine...or even the original one.

Sill contours etc look terrible. I suspect there's plenty of work lurking under there...
Instruments and switchgear look mostly correct. As the ad points out, some of the oil system pipework / junctionry is there, and is hard to find. Sound pad might be original too, if liberally embellished with red overspray.

Anyone know if that VIN is indeed from an S?

Over the years I,ve visited and bought parts from this trader on my way over and back to UK from Cork. Found him reliable and he has been around for at least 15 years or more. Think he,s near Bridgend, Wales.

Anyone know who bought this?
If you're on DDK send me a PM. The RHD 69S club is quite friendly but we're a bit short of members.
(For the purposes of this post I am assuming that it is, indeed, a RHD 69S - I have some recent correspondence to suggest all is OK but have not seen the car or its VIN stamping in the metal).
Cheers, Richard.
