AVATAR
How do I add an Avatar to my profile? I can find no way to do it apart from a box that says add a URL link, which I don't have.

Re: AVATAR
You need to host the image you want to use somewhere and then add he url in that box
Use somewhere like Photobucket
Make sure the picture you upload is the right size as here are maximum sizes for avatars

Thanks, I don't use any of these sites or really want to. Why can it not just be loaded direct into the page like other sites do?

Because it's not set in that way and hasn't been for 10 plus yearsAberdonian wrote:Thanks, I don't use any of these sites or really want to. Why can it not just be loaded direct into the page like other sites do?
Storing images on the server creates a maintenance overhead and requires server space.
First time it's been raised in the 10 years so I'm happy to leave it as it is. Photobucket is free and easy to use. Give it a try

Or you can use Flickr which is also free but doesn't have as many flashing things appearing over the screen like Photobucket.
