It looks a lovely car with interesting lineage but I am struck by a few things - am getting the DDK pedants disease! It will no doubt be terrific to drive set up as it is, but, it's not in original form now. 200k sounds strong money albeit I am in no poisition to opine on the quality - I can only assume a car retailed by MP would stack up. Why is it that some cars are eulogised for being 100% accurate and original but others can also command the price with variations? The beige 2.2S LHD at Silverstone auctions was more 150k inc fees I think.
Neil Bainbridge tweeted this morning that he has a Black 2.4S fully restored coming into stock - will be interesting to see it, hopefull will be there when I collect mine in 10 days.
On another note, it does look like the market is waking up again with Spring approaching - hopefully we will see more cars out and about on the roads.

"am getting the DDK pedants disease"

not all of us are pedants when it comes to well thought out and built car ;)

For me, this is pretty much a perfect 2.2S . With twin plug, 3 outlet & foam filters it must sound glorious when giving it some  Some nice details like the 10K rev counter etc We shouldn't forget these cars are about the driving ... leave the polishing to the dancing donkeys

I would imagine (although I don't know) that will be the car others (EL) can't shift. Not that many black 2.4S's about.........

It's been a regular visitor on here over the last six months if it is....

Sorry I don't know any more about it than that. He has sold Ant's Green RS rep and a lovely slate grey 2.4s recently. Looked cracking - just was not original colour.

If a re-shelled one is £150K, then £200K is about right for this one I would have thought.

That is a lot of work for 21hp!

I'm wrong. Neil's 2.4S is not the EL car but it is lhd.
