Wow - didn't know the opening quarterlight ones fit the later cars (not saying they don't - just wasn't aware) - that will look cool
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Still waiting for the body repair photos (nudge, nudge, Nick). In the meantime, the gearbox has been up at Mike Bainbridge's for a rebuild. I've also been and bought a Quaife LSD which Mike has fitted...

I've got a qualify LSD in mine Ian - think you'll like how it feels

Not sure my driving ability is sufficient to notice the difference, but I figured it made sense to do it while the 'box was being refurbed.

It changed the balance straight away on mine. Previously I wasn't conscious that the rear was slipping at all but it clearly had been - once the LSD was installed you got a clear feeling the back end was gripping more and pushing you through the corners - which in turn meant the front was more understeery

It's a change you'll adapt to but it is noticeable even at fairly modest speeds

Ironically if you want to be a hooligan (e.g. flooring it in second coming out of a junction) it's much easier to unstick the rear but correspondingly easier to catch it - previously if the rear let go it was good-night Vienna.
