For those that are going, have a safe journey and a great time. I hope the weather holds out. (I'm very jealous :( )

Positive weather wishes gently blowing your way... waiting for the pics of sweaty, ginger-fringed tammyshanters and cheekily wafted kilts

450 miles in and relaxing in Penrith after an afternoon aqua planing in The Lakes.
Should be in Falkirk for lunch at 'The Wheelhouse' which comes recommended.

Followed part of the French tourist bicycle route through N Yorks - brilliant and dramatic scenery and wild weather.
Heading up to Gretna from Teesdale in the morning.

Arrived at checkpoint 1 in Newcastle.

Thought I'd done well packing but I'm wearing my scruffy trainers that I took the dog out in before I left, forgot my contact lens solution and the window fix attachment for the Tom Tom.

Torrential rain all the way but forecast after today is dry with sunshine.

Boxster weather and free haircuts for all!!!

An hour to go before Arrival in Newcastle.

Looking out of the Ferry's window brings a smile on my face: the sun is shining!

Could I leave the rain coat and trousers packed???
