Collected this, a Triumph Thruxton R, a month ago but have only managed 143 miles so far.
Here with a friend on his 2002 Thruxton on a ride out around the Breacon beacons.

Just sold the Honda cb175.
Bit sad, but after taking my compulsory 3 hour lessons the other week (although I have a '1969' Full License) I have decided bike riding on the roads in the UK is not for me.
Got a new project waiting:
Peugeot BIMA moped.
Bit different, lot easier, awful lot cheaper...

Why did you take a compulsory test when you have a full license? I passed my test in the early 90's when CBT had been introduced but no theory etc. Are there new rules out?

Indeed, I stepped off my last 2 wheeler with an engine in 1970 after falling off the Lambretta once to many times nearly to my death under a bus in the snow.
46 years later I was doubtful I could get the balance again. The balance bit is hard!
I did the training in 2 hours rather than 3 so the instructor was impressed, but my wife was not enthusiastic....
I've seen a French Terrot bike very close to me here and pondering on this moped and cash for it, but spares are really hard.
Early French bike are very stylish and quirky, = good.

Indeed. Sold now but I'll get another when the Honda café racer's finished...

Keith, that has not helped me in one way, but in another, I have just bought a French Terrot very early 50's bike.
A bike rather than a moped, and this one is far from an 'oily-rag' which is what I want for the winter days ahead.
In the mean time, trying to get the BIMA UK registered is the usual multi jumping of hoops with the Government. nothing can be easy...

A good buy. Terrot's are plentiful, which means that spares are no problem. You'll have fun!
